He was predeceased by: his former wife Dorothy Miles; and his pet Taz. He is survived by: his wife Veda Jones; his children, David Shugart (Gail), Dennis Evans (Sara), Kimberly Bryant (Carl) and Bethony Evans; his grandchildren, Tyler, Brionna, Tucker and Justin; his great grandchildren, Aneesa, Teersa, Mason, Matthew, Landyn and Brantley; his brothers, Herman and Floyd Evans; and his granddaughter Nastasha.
