She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Newell and Margaret Newell (Moody); and her siblings, Bill, Daryel Newell and Shirley Derrington.
She is survived by: her husband Philip Wayne Rooze; her children, Gary (Ellen), Greg, Phillip (Leslie), Nancy (Jim) and Darla (Rod); her grandchildren, Doug, Stephanie, Dan (Elizabeth), Michael, David (Courtney), Nathan, Angela (Trey), Waylon and Maggie; her great grandchildren, Owen, Lucas, Wyatt and Evelyn; and her sisters, Loretta Seybold and Mary Ann Davis.
