She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Alexander and Fleeta Alexander; her husband Harry Pettit; her siblings, Mildred Bennett, Charles "Bill", Myrna Alexander, Herbert and Judy Alexander; her siblings-in-law, Delores and Ira Needham; and her son-in-law Steve Truax.
She is survived by: her son David Pettit (Sue) of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Marilyn Truax (Rusty Shoaf) of Crawfordsville, Connie Henderson (Steve) of Crawfordsville, Brian Pettit, Jamie Ellingwood and Jill Truax (Daniel); her great grandchildren, Alonna, Lane, Elijah, Ezra, Katherine and Walter; her siblings, Robert Alexander (Nancy), Virginia Yeager (Frank), Helen Weiss (Roland) and Mary Alexander; her brother-in-law Carl Bennett; and her cousin Herbert Miller. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
