He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Catterson and Ruth Catterson (Hutts); and his sisters, Wilma Busenbark and Patsy Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Diana Catterson (Miles); his children, Billy Catterson (Marsha), Gary Catterson, Rodger Catterson (Matilda) and Twilla Gilbert (Roger); and his siblings, Linda Rawlings and Paul Catterson. He is also survived by three nieces, three nephews, three great-nieces and a great-nephew.
