He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Bliss Foster and Dorothy Lane Foster. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Foster of Crawfordsville; his children, Teresa Kaye Kriston (Charles), John Timothy Foster (Donna), Tamara Kim Bonebrake (Kevin) and Angela Dawn Stamper (Todd); and his grandchildren, Kerri, Tony, Chelsea, Lacey, Alex, Haley, Kodie, Kullen, Krish, Kiera, Kassidy, Brock, Brett, Breanna and Brooke. He is also survived by twenty-six great-grandchildren.
