He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gene and Eloise Grimes Sr.; his son Daniel Trent Grimes; his adoptive mother Anna Lucille Grimes (Smith); and his siblings, Robert Gene Grimes Jr., Roger Dale Smith and Lisa Lou Grimes.
He is survived by: his children, Tamera Omundson (Raydal) of Bloomingdale, IN, Franklin Dean Grimes (Rebecca Elaine) and Travis Franklin Grimes; his siblings, Rick Grimes of McKinley, CA, Dennis Grimes (Nancy) of Longview, TX, Scott Grimes of Hillsboro, IN, James Frey, Marlene K Grimes of Crawfordsville, IN, Denise Starkey (Dennis) of Covington, IN and Robin Grimes-Howard (Tim) of Aubrey, TX; and his grandsons, Brandon Omundson, Levi Omundson and Clayton James Crowder. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
