He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilbert Wininger and Olive Jones Wininger; and his brothers, Sherman and Donald Wininger. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis E. Kerns; his sons, Brian Wininger (Martha) of Crawfordsville, Brent Wininger (Linda) of Crawfordsville and Brad Wininger (Dondra) of Waveland; his grandchildren, Morgan Shanks (Michael) of Terre Haute, Brittany Hatten (Keith) of Zionsville, Courtney Wininger of Knoxville, Brooke Chapman (Kory) of Greenfield, Paige Wininger of Lafayette and Peyton Wininger of Waveland; and his great grandchildren, Jane, Miles, Polly Shanks, Henley Hatten, Brody and Brandan Chapman.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Christ Lutheran Church, Crawfordsville, Indiana.
