She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Willard Gooden and Lois Trimble Gooden; her former husband Kenneth Elder; her children, Kathy Mennen (Denny), Kristi Stine (Steve), Karyn Elder (Dave Bradshaw), Todd Rogers (Jenny) and Trisha Rogers; her grandchildren, Julie Voigt (Mike), John Rutan, Jill Leonard, Sina Parks (Mickey), Matt Stine (Rachel), Kathryn Foland (Jordan), Austin Denhart (Kendra), Allison Harris (Blake), Dylan Rogers (Emily), Brandon Rogers, Zach Patrick, Andrea Haley and Chloe Yockey; her sister Janet Evans; her husband J. V. Rogers; and her brother-in-law Terry Evans. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
