He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Ellis and Maxine Ellis (Knauer). He is survived by: his wife Carol Ellis; his daughters, Andra Ellis and Alison Swick (Scott); and his siblings, Kenneth Ellis, Wanda Blume (Jim), Linda Nichols (Bob), William Ellis (Shirley), Russell Ellis (Janet) and Rose Ann Ellis.
