He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Swearingen and Helen Harbison Swearingen; his mother-in-law Patricia Smith Gosnell (John); and his nieces, Jennah Sue Smith and Danielle Brook Francis.
He is survived by: his children, Cari Wolter (Patrick), Mindy Kenney (Kevin), Craig, Ross (Kerrie) and Aaron (Crystal); his siblings, Gwyn Lyons (John), Kaye Francis and Paul Swearingen (Denise); and his pet Welfare League. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
Memorial donations can be made to the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League in honor of his beloved dog, Deuce, or Montgomery County Community Foundation.
