With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dewey Abney of Crawfordsville, Indiana, who passed away on October 6, 2020 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Abney and Edith Abney (Perkins); his son Vance; and his brothers, Mike and Gary Abney.

He is survived by: his close friend Jenny Harrison; his children, John Abney, Wanda Summers and Clint Abney; his siblings, Terry Abney (Becky), Lee Abney (Phylis) and Pam McIntyre (Billy); his sisters-in-law, Lynn and Judy Abney; and also, Brian Harrison (Heather), Kim Hoffa (Ryan) and Bruce Harrison (Donna). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

“Jenny and Family: I was so sorry to see Dewey's notice in the paper of his death. He was a really nice guy and will be greatly missed. I remember Dewey D coming into the bank when I worked there, it was nice talking to him.. I would always ask him how you were. and he would say that you were 'meaner than a snake!' I didn't believe him at all. I honked when I came by when you and he were out in the yard. Thoughts and prayers go with you all.”
