He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Eugene Grayson and Norma Jean Axsom Heater. He is survived by: his children, Dennis Grayson, Jr. of Crawfordsville, Allen Grayson of New Market and Amy Grayson of Indianapolis; and his sisters, Marilyn Roudebush and Glenda Church. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.
