He was predeceased by: his parents, Cosby Turpin and Ada B. Wesley Turpin; his wife Carol Turpin; his son Todd; his siblings, Bobby, Dewie, Gary, Ernie Turpin Sr., Ruby, Roxie and Donnie; and his nephew Ernie Turpin, Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Loree J. McCloud (Rich Woods) of Crawfordsville and Brooke Elliott (Eric) of Crawfordsville; and his grandchildren, Darrin (Kadee), Derek (Macie), Dustin (Ambria), Caden and Addison. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
