It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyne Smith of Crawfordsville, Indiana, born in Kingman, Indiana, who passed away on September 11, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Hughes and Lela Lawson Hughes; and her daughter Cindy Wiatt. She is survived by: her children, Laura Eckart (Bob) of Greenwood, Indiana and James Christopher Mitchell of Crawfordsville; her son-in-law Darrell Wiatt of Russellville; and her grandchildren, Adrienne Eckart, Jeremy Eckart, Tyler Eckart (Shannon), Darren Wiatt (Renee), Darrick Wiatt (Lauren), Mallory Eckart, Ben Wiatt (Kayla) and Bethany Bryan (Grant). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
