He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Steele and Gail Crodian Steele; his brothers, Gary Steele and Edgar Steele, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Lynne Steele.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Steele of Crawfordsville; his children, Brittany Steele of Crawfordsville and Jonathan Addler (Shea) of Cloverdale; his siblings, Donna Williams (Jerry) of Greencastle and Mike Steele (Rhonda) of Heritage Lake; his grandchildren, Jaylinn, Sloan and Alaina; and his pets, Kai and Myla. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
