William Arthur Petty Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 13, 2023, at the age of 80, William Arthur Petty of Covington, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Petty and Viola Petty (Smith); his brother-in-law Vern Cook; and his close friend Jim Dunbar. He is survived by: his wife Helen Schafer; his sons, Jim Petty (Robyn) of Covington and Scott Petty (Jennifer) of Attica; his sisters, Viola Branson of Bedford, IN and Susan Fassino (Rick) of Bedford, IN; his grandchildren, MaCenzie of Attica and Ethan Petty of Attica; his stepgrandchildren, Meghann Carrigan (Cory) of Lafayette, IN, Marissa Rice (Casey) of Lafayette, IN, Grady Carrigan of Lafayette, IN and Carson Carrigan of Lafayette, IN; and his sister-in-law Cathy Cook of Terre Haute, IN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be given in his name to National Wildlife Federation or to Illiana Antique Power Association.
