He was predeceased by: his parents, William Myers and Dorothy Eileen Myers; and his brother Hubert Reed. He is survived by: his children, Linda Knecht (Andy), Leslie Roman (Dan) and Russell Reed (Jenifer); his grandchildren, Ricki Coyle (Austin), Ranee Clyde (Justin), Cameron Reed, Kellen Reed, Cody Knecht (Faith), Cyle Knecht, Brent Roman (Haley) and Mitchell Roman (Sarah); and his sister Betty Ann Quigle. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home - Covington (420 3rd St, Covington, IN 47932). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials in Russell's name may be made to Marilyn's Village in Covington, Indiana or to the Covington City Park, with checks made payable to the City of Covington.
