He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Duensing and Francis Drews Duensing; his brother George Duensing; his son Todd Boyd; and his granddaughter Joellen Boyd.

He is survived by: his adoptive son John Duensing; his former wife Linda Boyd; his wife Sarah Derringer; his children, John Duensing (Chellie), Joe Boyd (Paula), Don Koss, Jason Bunch (MaryEllen) and Jessica Wright (Keith); his brother Gerald Duensing, Sr.; his grandchildren, Danielle, Heather Duensing, Jason Boyd, Kristie Lynn (Micah Dorn), Travis, Brittany, Lydia Koss, Toby, Sidney Bunch and Grace Wright; and his great grandchildren, Kylie Duensing, Trenton Callon and Braeden Boyd. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
