He was predeceased by: his parents, Fuson Whittington and Irene Whittington; and his brothers, Gerald, Tom, Joe Paul and Frank.
He is survived by: his children, Joshua, Jacob (Pacia) and Hannah Witsman (Adam); his spouse Robin; his children, Shawn Abernathy, Tiffany Cates (Travis) and Lyndsey Nelson (Alvin); and his siblings, John, Anne Pittman, Jan Ludlow and Max. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Coleman Cancer Center, 2723 S 7th St, Terre Haute, IN 47802 in Rex's name.
