He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleon Chambers and Vivian Chambers (Cunningham); his brother Leroy Chambers (Betty); and his stepfather Virgil Toney. He is survived by: his wife Gretchen Mae Kenny; his children, Craig E. Chambers (Granda) of Veedersburg, IN, Curt D. Chambers (Colleen) of Hillsboro, IN and Cynthia R. Ferguson (Jeff) of Carmel, IN; and his grandchildren, Jennifer St. Peter (Isaiah), Hollie Pavia (Diego), Bryan Chambers (Rhyann), Cristin Stephens, Cory Chambers, Stephen Ferguson (Elizabeth) and Megan Ferguson.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Maranatha Baptist Church (1111 Harrison St, Covington, IN 47932). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the Mt. Hope Cemetery (11 S Stringtown Rd, Covington, IN 47932).
