He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dale Leon and Judith Ann Abernathy (Ocheltree); his wife Nancy Jordan; his son Josh Abernathy of Covington; his siblings, Kevin Abernathy (Jill) of Covington, Eric Abernathy (Janelle) of Covington, Brenda Starkey (Bruce) of Terre Haute, Sue Tuggle (Richard Pruitt) of Covington, Elizabeth Anderson of Florida and Kris Cates of Covington; his sisters-in-law, Joan Weaver (Wayne) of Valparaiso, IN, Linda Morehouse (Eldon) of Covington and Susan Collison (Joe) of Veedersburg; his granddaughter Savanah Abernathy; and his parents-in-law, Hugh and Avon Jordan. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
