It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eugene Alkire of Covington, Indiana, born in Warren, Indiana, who passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Alkire and Grace Alkire (Gross); and his daughter-in-law Meg Alkire. He is survived by: his wife Dixie Wilson; his children, Christy Watkins, Steven Alkire (Ginger), Gail McLain and Scott Alkire; his grandchildren, Brandi Bragg, Shaun, Brent Stonebraker, Chealsie Beedle, Skylar Alkire, Trace, Trenton McLain and Mitchell Beck Jr.; and his siblings, Shirley Cook, Reatha Walls, Charlotte Meldrum and Larry Alkire.

Memorial donations may be given in his name to Second Church of Christ, Danville.
