He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred D. and Grace E. Sherman Sr. (Loden); his wife Karen Astell (Jahnke); his siblings, Dorothy Johnson (Dale), Marjorie Jean Starkey (Wayne Anderson), Fred Sherman Jr., Carol Johnson (Lloyd) and John Sherman (Marilyn); and his pet Pokey.
He is survived by: his former wife Dixie L. Beddow; his children, Billy R. Sherman II and Candy A. Ross of Georgetown, IL.; his brothers, Harold Sherman (Jerry Sue) of Bloomington, IN and Jerry D. Sherman (Marilyn) of Oakwood, IL; and his sister-in-law Barbara Sherman of Chesapeake, VA. He is also survived by his children from his first marriage.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to Danville Humane Society in Bill's name which would please him very much.
