He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Abernathy and Maxine Abernathy (Coffing); and his brother Ron Abernathy. He is survived by: his nieces, Melanie Newman (Alan) of Pemberville, OH and Hope Carlson (Steve) of Mahomet, IL; his aunt Shirley Coffing; and also, Roseann Giordano, Jackie Giordano-Morgan and Tina Jones. He is also survived by several cousins, and many friends.
