He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Vernon Vincent and Charlotte Ruth Jacobs Gerdon; his wife Katherine Imogene Lutes Gerdon; his son Roger Gerdon; and his siblings, Kenneth R., Chester Gene and Dorothy Cain.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rita Pennington (David) of Corydon, IN and Teresa Crawhorn (Tom) of Corydon, IN; and his daughter-in-law Teresa Rainbolt Gerdon of Corydon, IN. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.
