He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Kean and Sandra L. Fox Kean; his brother Mike Kean; his grandparents, John R. and Clara E. Evans Fox; his uncles, Sherman "Red", Kenny, John "Pete", Bill and Jimmy Dale Fox; and his aunt Dorothy Frye.

He is survived by: his wife Dana Engleman Kean; his children, Matt Kean (Fabi) of Angleton, TX, Elijah Kean of Potosi, MO and Jennie Kemp (Devin) of Fredericksburg, IN; his grandchildren, Aniyah Kean, Evie Higgs, Lorelei Higgs, Graecie Higgs, Sophia Kean and Zeke Kean; his siblings, Scott Hatfield (Amy) of Lawrenceville, IL, Johnny Kean (Misty) of Hymera, IN, Star Boffro (Tommy), Steve Fox of Bicknell, IN and Donnie Reed of Vincennes, IN; his parents-in-law, John and Marcia Engleman; his brother-in-law Sean Engleman; and his close friends, Mike Devine (Nancy) of Vincennes, IN and Paul Ingle (Elisabeth) of Depauw, IN.. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Many who know Tom know he liked to help anyone and was able to continue after death with organ donation.

“Tommy you will be missed by so many. I don't know what I would have done without you when i lost my dad. We talked all the time there was times I wanted to give up. But you told me it will be ok . I am going to miss you RIP cousin we love and miss you. Dana I am so sorry for your loss my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family”
