He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry W. Garing and Adel E. Ringle Garing; and his siblings, Ruth Schneider, Helen Wallpe, Patricia Richey, Rita Evans and Bill Garing.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jane Crone Garing of Corydon; his children, Alan J. Garing (Robby) of Corydon, Catherine Schneider (Matt) of Seymour and Deborah S. Knear of Clarksville; his grandchildren, Isaac, Justin, Kyle, Sydney Schneider and Erica Knear; and his sister Rose Pilotte of Fowler, Indiana.. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to Hosparus Southern Indiana at 502 Hausfeldt Lane New Albany, Indiana 47150.
