He was predeceased by: his parents, R. Lee Valentine, Sr. and Bernice Robinson Valentine; his siblings, Curtis, Pearl and Erma Jean; and his aunt Doris.
He is survived by: his children, Robert L. Valentine III (April) of Indianapolis, Jason L. Valentine of Indianapolis, Todd A. Valentine (Telease) of Virginia, Brittney N. Valentine of Louisville, Kristin M. Valentine of Los Angeles and Steven A. Thompson of Indianapolis; his brothers, Harold Valentine, Gary Valentine (Amy) and Tony Valentine (Deanna); and his grandchildren, Taylur, Mailiyah, Jason Jr., Todd Jr., Jurnee, Kevin, Adrianna, Adris, Adarius and Carter.
