He was predeceased by: his mother Willa Dee Burnett Wilmuth; and his sister Joy Brewer. He is survived by: his wife Tina Kiefer Zerbe; his father E. Richard "Dick" Zerbe; his children, Dillon Zerbe, Christopher Joseph (Stephanie), William Benkowski, Kara Zerbe, Jennifer Purks and Tammy Legge Mabe; and his siblings, Mike, Paul, John Henry and Mona Percy. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
