He is survived by: his sons, Paul Sherrill, Roy Sherrill, Robert Sherrill and Michael Sherrill; his grandchildren, Roy Joshua, Megan, Zachary, Austin and Jani Sherrill; his siblings, Cy Sherrill, Bonnie Crone and Betty Sams; and his stepsisters, Tommie Cole, Wanda Hornsby and Lorna Souders.
