She was predeceased by: her parents, William Francis and Ruby Pearl Wesner Hicks; her husband Clifford Darkis; and her siblings, Vera Stone, Wilma Deich and John Willard Hicks.
She is survived by: her children, John William Wheeler of Valonia, IN., Vera Beveliheimer of Franklin, Anita Pearl Smith of Seymour, IN., Wilma Jean Charnes of Seymour, IN., Billie June Marshall of New Pekin, IN. and Virginia Lee Perez of Indianapolis, IN.; and her sister Marilyn Belden of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
