He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Russell Rhoads and Victoria Eunice Rainbolt Rhoads; his brothers, Kenneth, Ralph and Randall; his grandparents, Alva, Elsie Rainbolt, Wylie and Minnie Rhoads; and his stepfather John D. Kendall.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his sons, James (Tracey) of Anderson, IN, Robert Hunter and Brandon Odin Cedras; his stepgrandchildren, Haleigh and Harrison Overshiner of Carmel, IN; and also Lyn Meriah Rhoads. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
