Margaret Jane Woertz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 4, 2024, at the age of 101, Margaret Jane Woertz of Corydon, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Woertz; her sister Mary Jean Reeves; her parents, Graham Longest and Louise Kessinger; her stepfather Harold Kessinger; and her close friend Lloyd Bailey.
She is survived by: her children, Ed Woertz (Sue) of Corydon, Audrea Nichols of Elizabeth and Myra Woertz of Lanesville; her grandchildren, Michael Woertz, Cynthia DeGraff, Melissa Best, Tyson Yeager, Brent Nichols, Emily Yeager and Nick Cokeley; and her nieces, Lynda Grable and Jolanda Petrick. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home (318 E Chestnut St, Corydon, IN 47112). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to South Harrison Community Development as a direct donation or a gift to their endowment fund through the Harrison County Community Foundation.
