He was predeceased by: his siblings, Dwight Wernert and Geneva Jones. He is survived by: his wife Naomi "Susie" Redden Wernert; his children, William Wernert (Annette) of Lanesville, Indiana and Susan Isbell (Jim) of New Salisbury, Indiana; his grandchildren, Stephanie MacDonald (Mike), Zach Isbell (Brooke), Tabatha Smith (Dave), Ryan Wernert (Katie) and Jordan Wernert; his great grandchildren, Graham and Lincoln MacDonald; and his brothers, Larry, Melvin Wernert of Ramsey, Merle Wernert of Floyd Knobs and Mark Wernert of Palmyra.
