He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Olges and Minnie Prewitt Olges; his children, John L. Olges Jr. of New Albany, IN., Stephen Olges and Kelly Brison; and his brother Joseph Olges.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Vick Olges; his children, Michael Olges of Harrodsburg, IN., Mark Olges (Margaret) of Maine, Lisa Cobb (Kevin) of Floyd Knobs, IN., Terri Harless of Tennessee, Joe Rizer of Lexington, KY. and Susan Rizer of Pleasant Hill, CA.; and his sisters, Mary Murphy of Louisville, KY., Ruth Fogle (Ronnie) of Louisville, KY. and Roberta Coomes (Dick) of Prospect, KY.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
