He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Bertrand and Sophie Heil Kaufer; his sister Mary Wilburn; and his grandson Michael C. Kaufer. He is survived by: his wife Janice Elaine Reynolds Kaufer of Corydon, IN; his children, Mark Steven Kaufer (Leigh Anne) of Lanesville, IN, David Michael Kaufer (Christina) of Corydon, Dennis Lee Kaufer (Linda) of Elizabeth, IN and Mary Ann Ramser (Matt) of New Albany, IN; and his brothers, Raymond Kaufer of Lanesville, IN, Frank Kaufer of Memphis, IN and Paul Kaufer (Carol) of New Albany, IN. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
