She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Messmer and Irene Rainbolt Messmer; her husband Kenneth Gerdon; her grandsons, Joshua and Adam Kinser; and her siblings, Gerald, John, Irvin, Roger Messmer and Catherine Pursehouse.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Gerdon (Sharon), Kim Crawhorn (Tony) of Corydon, IN, Karen Kinser (Terry) of Corydon, IN, Lori Spurlock (John) of Corydon, IN and Carol Martin of Corydon, IN; her siblings, Curtis and Phyllis Buttrum (George) of Valrico, Florida; and her grandchildren, Shelby Crawhorn, Kacy Wilkerson, Ashley, Jacob Crawhorn, Nathan, Tara Kinser, Kenny, Lelia Gerdon, Jeremy, Andy Hibbs, Jessi Paris, Christie Hardin, Elijah Martin and Jordan Lynton. She is also survived by twenty-one great grandchildren.
