George left this world on February 3, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Schulte and Anna Schulte (Meyer); his wife Dolores Helen Schulte; his daughter Valarie Ann Schulte; and his siblings, Gertrude Schulte, Bernard Schulte, Joyce Elliott and Joseph Schulte.
He is survived by: his children, Denise G. Kifer, Frances Lasley, Patricia Mersmann (Jim) and Jean Wolfe (Samuel II). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and many extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A rosary was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (415 E 8th St, New Albany, IN 47150).
The family requests that contributions in George's memory be made to St Joseph Catholic School in Corydon, IN.
