He was predeceased by: his parents, Bailey Murphy and Edna Murphy (Casey); and his children-in-law, Todd Kochert and Stefany Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Betty Murphy; his children, Jerry Murphy (Laurie), Robyn Murphy and Susan Kochert; and his sister Cynthia Jennings. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
The family strongly requests that contributions in David's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
