He was predeceased by: his sisters, Betty Brunner and Ruth Lawton. He is survived by: his wife Joyce C. Sutherland Beard; his daughter Lisa Kaye Ellis (Scot) of Floyds Knobs; and his grandchildren, Ben Ellis and Lydia Ellis.
