He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Baird and Shirley Baird (May). He is survived by: his wife Jean Pate-Baird (Rusk); his children, Jason Baird (Heather) and Kelly Baird; his stepchildren, William Pate (Karen), Jerry Pate, Misty Pate and Mandy Clark (Andy); and his brothers, Paul Edward Baird and Kevin Baird. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
