He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur L. Byerley, Sr. and Mary "Louise" Marcum Byerley; and his sister Beverly Kincaid. He is survived by: his wife Joann Miller Byerley; his daughters, Cheyenne Patterson (Taylor) of Georgetown and Abigail Byerley of Corydon; his grandson Lane Patterson; and his sisters, Diane Trowbridge (Glendon) of Corydon and Paula Faith (Lonnie) of Mauckport. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
