He is survived by: his mother Ruby Shickles Barns; his wife Carolyn Ann Hill Parnell; his children, Matthew Parnell of Colorado, James Parnell of Jeffersonville, Chris Hill of Jeffersonville and Shayne Rhodes of Charlestown; his grandchildren, Jordan Hill, Josh Hill, Cheyenne Parnell, Athena Parnell and Elinore Rhondes; and his sisters, Wanda Rawley of Corydon, Reba Grounds (Jim) of Mooresville and Delane Hunter of Mooresville. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews.
