He was predeceased by: his father Troy Dunaway; and his siblings, James, Marvin, Ada, Faye and Freda.

He is survived by: his wife Bonita J. Logsdon Dunaway; his children, Roger Dunaway (Leslie), Daniel Johnson (Michelle), Doug Edelen (Stephany), Pamela Dunaway and Jennifer Cannon; and his siblings, Donnie, Tommy, Gladys, Cathy and Liz. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
