It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Tackett of Corunna, Indiana, born in Pikeville, Kentucky, who passed away on December 29, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sheridan Tackett and Sarah Tackett (Hall); his wife Anna Mae Stephens; his granddaughter Theresa Stienbarger; and his siblings, Ruthie Hunter, Sola Williams, Frill Tackett, Garrett Tackett, Jay Tackett, Lee Hunter, Robert Tackett, Earl Tackett and Johnny Tackett.
He is survived by: his children, Joan Shepherd (Buford) of Sparta, Mary Rafferty of Corunna, Sarah "Deb" Faulkner (Steve) of Corunna, Denver Tackett (Beverly) of Avilla, Clyde Tackett of Corunna and Michael Tackett (Traci VanGorden) of Bronson, Michigan; his grandchildren, Lisa, Johnny, Sandi, Michelle, Jacklyn, Brandi, Jenny, Charity, Matt, Joe, Tammy and Lee; and his siblings, Gertie Weimer of Kendallville, Walker Tackett (Willa) of Kendallville and Charlie Tackett (Anna) of Kentucky. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
