With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty June Gibson of Converse, Indiana, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on September 19, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fay Junior and Bessie Viola Herbst (Wheeler); her husband Jerry Ray "Hoot" Gibson; her siblings, Patsy Covington, Bill Herbst and Bob Herbst; and her grandchildren, Kailee Paquette and Dalton Miller.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melinda Wisser (Dan) and Shannon Miller of Douglas; her stepchildren, Jerry Gibson, Charles Gibson, Hoot Gibson, Crystal Gibson and David Gibson; her brothers, Junior Herbst of Wheatland and Jim Herbst (Lois); and her grandchildren, Michael Hershberger, Jason Howell, Bobby Howell, Misty Howell, Rick Howell, Stacy Howell, Ilyana Miller and Marcus Miller. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 would be appreciated by the family.
