It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wiona Kay Heck of Connersville, Indiana, born in Rushville, Indiana, who passed away on March 1, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Cross and Mary Cross; her spouse Lee Heck of Connersville; her granddaughter Sadie Elizabeth Gideon; and her brother Earl Cross.
She is survived by: her former husband Melvin Gideon of Spiceland; her children, Melvin Gideon (Melodi), Mark Gideon Spiceland (Lindy) and Bess Heller Rushville (Tim); her grandchildren, Case (Ron Townsend) of Connersville, Katherine King (Cory) of Connersville and Matt Gideon of Connersville; her stepchildren, Melany Heck, Rachel Wieman, Andrew Heck and Jane Herzog; and her sister Theda Carlson of Florida. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
