He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Bowling and Grace Johnson Bowling; and his brother Conley Bowling. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Bowling and Amanda Caudill (Michael); his wife Cindy Bowling; his stepchildren, Scott Smucker, Jeff Smucker and Stephanie Englett; his niece Sarah Sorensen; his nephew Marcus Bowling; and also Tim Fluty.
