He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Abbott and Ada Alberstein Abbott; his brothers, Kirk Matthews, Randy Morehead and Darryll Morehead Sr.; his nephew Darryll Lee Morehead Jr.; and his brother-in-law Robert Long.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Abbott; his children, Chad Abbott, Holly Keel (William) and Julie Cranfill (Jacob); his sisters, Molly Keener (Gary) and Joy Long; his grandchildren, Rachel, Deborah, Noah, Elisabeth, Brookelyn, Hannah of William, JR., Morgan, Alex and Trystan; and his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Zeke, Victoria, Hudson, Brayleigh, Westyn, Oaklynn, Madelyn, Avalynn, Jaxtyn and Levi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Dale Cemetery (801 N Gregg Rd, Connersville, IN 47331). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Woodland Bible Church (835 W County Rd 300 N, Connersville, IN 47331).
Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Morrie to Community Christian School, Connersville.
