She was predeceased by: her parents, John Burris and Lula Mae Burris; her husband Marvelle "Hooter" Russell; and her siblings, Johnny Burris (Ilene) and Jeanette Stevens (Bill).

She is survived by: her siblings, James Burris, Phillip Burris (Sara), Charles Burris, Lois Martin (Charles) and Laura Burris; her children, Kathy Friend (Tim), Bruce Russell and Jeff Russell; her grandchildren, Jenni Schnable (Mark), Josh Russell, Ashley Collins (Jabin), Kristin Maze, John Russell, Wyatt Russell and Kevin Reece; her great grandchildren, Aiden, Ian, Chloe, Luke, Makenna, Holden, Delanie, Kallie, Emma and Raymond; and her great great grandchild Willow. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Everton Southern Baptist Church.
